Position summary

• FM doctors’ main role is to assess, diagnosis and treat a wide range of conditions with appropriate management and follow-up plans

• FM doctors need to build up a strong patient base by forming and maintaining professional relationships with patients with chronic conditions

• FM doctors will act as health coordinators with other departments in the hospital ensuring that patients get continuity of care

Essential Duties

• Offer a comprehensive, reasonable, personalized and effective clinical service to the patients

• Accomplish clinical work according to physician’s privilege in the outpatient setting

• Remain up-to-date with medical advance through ongoing self-enhancement

• Follow clinical guidelines and evidence-based medicine

• Promote the hospital outside the facility

   

• Skills required:

• Excellent team work

• Effective logical reasoning and critical thinking skill

• Excellent communication skills

• Good knowledge of writing medical records

• Good understanding of patients’ rights including confidentiality

• Perform health checks as required

• Follow hospital policies

• Refer patients appropriately for specialist opinions (inside and outside the hospital)

• Contribute to the training of hospital staff related to one’s own clinical expertise

• Abide by the laws and industry norms to complete medical work;

• Attend hospital-wide and departmental meetings

• Complete the new staff orientation as soon as possible

• Accomplish department quality improvement projects

• Contribute to the creation of clinical guidelines

• Complete any other required departmental training

• Attend clinical sessions as set out in the roster

Skills and Expertise: 

Doctor of medicine degree (or equivalent) from an approved school of medicine
Completion of residency training in Family/Internal Medicine at a hospital and program acceptable to the clinic Chair and Chief Medical Officer
More than 8 years experience post-residency in the clinical arena preferred.
Fluency in English Required

Certificate/Licensing:
Chinese physicians: Chinese professional physician certificated
Foreign physicians: Temporary license for foreign physician to practice medicine 

Work Experience : 5－10 Years

Work Property : Full-time

Minimum education : Master degree or above
