9 Months Later... Dealing with Pelvic Health Issues?

Unfortunately every woman will have some sort of pelvic discomfort in her life. My grandmother taught me wisely how to do my pelvic exercises, but I was a stubborn teenager and never did them. When I got older and I was pregnant on my first child, halfway through my pregnancy, I developed pelvic issues. I was in so much pain, walking around felt extremely uncomfortable. When I arrived one day at the hospital, there was no hiding it, they took one look at me and sent me to a physiotherapist.

After 9 months of a heavy baby pushing down on my pelvis, nothing was as it should have been. I delivered by caesarian, but that didn't diminish the many pelvic issues I had developed throughout pregnancy. Urine loss and discomfort, all very embarrassing, had become a part of my life. I basically gave up for a while, thinking that after having a child every woman would pee herself all day long. Luckily, I got myself together to go see a specialist. She told me about treatment and exercises that would help.
